I would strongly advise against staying here.
From the moment I arrived, the experience was poor. The host spoke virtually no English, making communication extremely difficult, and the first thing she said upon arrival was “cash.”
The boiler was switched off, leaving me with cold showers on multiple occasions. Even after I reported the issue, the water took so long to heat up that I was delayed for a trip I had already paid for. The very last day, the host was later over an hour late, causing me to miss my airport bus and forcing me to pay almost 20 Euro for a taxi to the airport at my own expense, as otherwise I would miss my flight back home. She promised to reimburse the taxi fare but never did.
The room was much farther from central Tirana than advertised, dark, and had an uncomfortable mattress. To make matters worse, the host entered my room without warning while I was partially dressed, which was a serious invasion of privacy.
On my departure day, she agreed to store my luggage and food until the afternoon, then became unreachable. The WhatsApp number she provided was fake, nobody was at the property when I returned, and I was left waiting outside for nearly an hour. She also refused to return the food she had agreed to store for me.
Lack of hot water, poor communication, invasion of privacy, misleading information, broken promises, extra transport costs, and being left stranded outside (in a 40 degree heat!) the property made this one of the worst accommodation experiences I have had. AVOID!
